In June 2025, Orcades Marine worked with Elcee Instruments to successfully deploy a Nexsens monitoring buoy just off the Kusu Island as part of a research project carried out by Nanyang Technological University.The buoy will record wave, current and weather conditions and transmit the data remotely to a live online platform for the universities’ researchers to access around the clock. The installation is also monitored closely by CCTV on the nearby shore to ensure safety and security.This project was done with the support of Singapore Salvage Engineers, and under the contract lead Blugraph Technologies.
