Orcades Marine Asia (OMA) was invited to speak in SEECON 2018, which took place at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in Philippines. Orcades Marine presented on the makings of a sustainable marine environment, and how green technologies such as marine renewable and electric vessel propulsion can help to make it happen.
There was also a meeting with Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) and WWF Philippines to discuss aspects of sustainable marine environment. It was an insightful session where each party shared their work and ideas. The meeting led to the eventual signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between OMA and AdDU to explore developments of electric propulsion for boats as well as marine renewable energy.
Orcades Marne Asia also paid a visit to the Head of Engineering Division of the Davao’s Port of Philippine Authority to discuss possibilities of green port developments.
